Special Grants Projects

From time to time, and as finances permit, the MBF considers funding requests that fall outside the eligibility requirements of the IOLTA Grants Program or outside the traditional grant cycle, but are consistent with the MBF’s overall mission of increasing access to civil legal aid, improving the administration of justice, or promoting an understanding of the law.

SPECIAL PROJECT GRANT PROCESS

Contact the MBF Grants Office at foundation@massbar.org to discuss your project and determine eligibility.

If grant funding is available and the project is eligible, you will be asked to submit a one-page letter of inquiry, summarizing your project, for review by the Executive Committee of the MBF Board of Trustees.

The MBF Executive Committee will review your letter of inquiry at its next regularly scheduled meeting and make a decision as to whether to invite a full proposal.
